Pivot Power is a private-pay practice. This means I don't bill insurance, and for my clients, that's completely intentional.

Using insurance for therapy can require a mental health diagnosis and documentation that becomes part of your medical record. Insurance companies may also place limits on the number of sessions covered, request treatment updates, or determine what services are considered medically necessary. In some situations, clients may have concerns about how mental health records could affect future applications involving life, disability, or long-term care insurance, certain professional licensing processes, or highly confidential career matters.

Many excellent therapists work with insurance, and for many people it is an important way to make therapy accessible. I choose to offer private-pay services because it allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and autonomy in treatment. Without insurance involvement, we can focus on your goals without requiring a diagnosis, session caps, or ongoing review by a third party.

Session Rates:

• Individual Therapy Session (50 min) — $180

• Family Therapy Session (50 min) — $200

• DWI Assessment — $100

• Substance Abuse Assessment — $250

• Anger Management Assessment — $250​​

 

Payment: All major credit cards accepted. Payment is due at time of service.

Good Faith Estimate: Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Ask me about this at any time.
