Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — Raleigh, NC
You don't have to relive your trauma to heal from it.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy — known as ART — is one of the most powerful trauma treatments available today. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART works directly with how your brain stores distressing memories and experiences. And unlike EMDR, ART doesn't require you to recall specific details or relive painful moments in depth. You just need to remember the feeling.
ART uses guided eye movements to help your brain reprocess traumatic memories and replace the distressing images associated with them with neutral or positive ones. The result? The memory stays — but the emotional charge attached to it is gone.
What ART Can Help With
Trauma and PTSD Anxiety and panic Depression Phobias Grief and loss Performance anxiety Relationship patterns rooted in past experiences Unrecognized trauma in high functioning individuals
What an ART Session Looks Like
Sessions are typically 60 minutes. You'll be guided through a relaxed, focused process where you identify a distressing memory or feeling and work through it using bilateral eye movements. Most clients notice significant shifts within 1 to 5 sessions. You remain in full control throughout the entire process.
Why Ashley Uses ART
Ashley is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and chose this modality specifically because of its effectiveness with high functioning clients who carry unrecognized trauma. Many of her clients have tried traditional talk therapy without lasting results. ART gets to the root faster and without requiring you to spend hours talking about painful experiences in detail.
If you have tried therapy before and felt like something was missing, ART might be what you have been looking for.
